To prepare students to make ethical decisions guided by the social work profession's beliefs, principles, and standards, particularly the ideals of self-determination, empowerment, and diversity.
To Apply critical thinking skillsin problem solving with social work values and ethics, human diversity issues, the dynamics of discrimination and oppression, social and economic justice, and interactions among systems.
Understands and responds to problems of individuals, families and groups. Able to develop working relationship with the agency, client system, staff, colleagues and others in the field.
